Conducted upon a vessel´s arrival at a discharge port, typically done for steel products, with the main purpose of establishing any damages and/or shift for break-bulk cargo. Often requires silver nitrate test for chloride residues, to stablish the possibility of salt water contact. It can be carried out for the entire discharge operation to ascertain if the alleged damages had occurred either before or after or perhaps during discharge.
Inspection of hatch cover and hatch coaming area.
Cargo condition when the hatches are opened looking for transit damages.
Description of stowage arrangements and damages related to poor packaging.
Description of cargo lashing & securing method noted.
Report for any damage to cargo, ascertaining the nature, extension and real cause.
Review of Logbook and other documents in case of vessel encountered bad weather.
Perform The Silver Nitrate Solution Test in case of saltwater damages.
Recommend step to minimize further loss or restore the good to sound condition.
Full Discharge Condition Survey to supervise the stevedores handling, taking due note in case of damages related to a bad or poor handling
Preliminary Survey Report with digital photos in pdf format via e-mail.
Full Photographic Report in digital PDF format and hard copy with a brief description for each picture.
Final inspection Certificate in PDF format in CD with digital pictures and if is requested a hard copy of the same with photos as support our physical and visual inspection.
